Who should volunteer?

The work we do simply would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of our volunteers. Our volunteers come from a wide variety of backgrounds and volunteer for many different reasons.

From people who are retired to students, unemployed to employed and graduates to school leavers, we’re proud that our volunteers reflect the very people that we help

Gain new skills. Employers value the experience you gain volunteering at with us. Our volunteers learn team working skills, interviewing skills and much more! These are skills that many employers are looking for.

Join a friendly and supportive team. We have volunteers from all walks of life. From students to retirees, returning parents to people looking for work. We offer a friendly and supportive environment for volunteers from all backgrounds.

We need your help. People are struggling. Last year we helped over three and a half thousand clients deal with over ten thousand problems. It is because of volunteers like you that these clients are able to find the help they need to solve their problems.

What can I do?

We have roles for Advisers, Campaigners, Administrators and Receptionists. We’re not looking for any specific experience or qualifications; you just need to be open-minded, enthusiastic and keen to deliver an excellent level of service. We will provide training, and give you all the support and encouragement you need.

We run regular tours and open days where you can talk to staff and volunteers and ask any questions you might have.
